14:00 – Dominica Mindful Eating in the Age of Distractions
This workshop offers an opportunity to re-connect with a natural diet and explore the wonder of the food we consume. The workshop will focus on:
- Mindful Eating – How to awaken our senses to notice the colours, smells, flavours, and textures of the food we eat.
- The Crucial Difference between being hungry for calories vs. being hungry for nutrition.
- The Four Elements of life and their relationship to the food we consume.
- Emotions: the feeling of gratitude and its impact on digestive health This in-depth workshop studies how modern life makes food an afterthought, when it should be a priority.
We will discuss how our diet impacts various aspects of our lives: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and the tactics we can use to restore a healthy balance. Dominica Roszko is a vegan nutritionist and medicinal chef who uses ancient knowledge of foods and herbs to restore energy, aid healing, and boost nourishment. She is regularly featured in leading publications including the Huffington Post, Female First, and Vegan Food & Living.
